Learning objectives
This course aims at making students able to approach any kind of Arabic texts, trying to understand and solve some common problems in translating into Italian. High attention is given to the different types of translation in relation to the public the translation is aimed to.
Expected learning outcomes
Translation strategy and "tricks". High attention to the main editorial rules, according to the editorial market in the Italian context.

Lesson period
Second semester
Classes will be held on Microsoft Teams. Students can follow live lessons or recorded ones. Live lessons will be held according to the first term timetable.
Syllabus and teaching material will not be modified.
The exam will be held on Microsoft Teams and it will be oral. if circumstances change the exam will be held at University and it will be written

Translations of texts regardind international politics (Second unit)

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam consist of a written transaltion from Arabic to Italian, on a known text. The student is allowed to use a dictionary.
